Blue Cypress ~ Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Blue Cypress'
A pretty blue Cypress for indoor, or more temperate climates.
The colors pair wonderfully with almost any groundcover or miniature garden perennial. It has a growth rate of about 2" per year, can be pruned, appears slower in our indoor miniature garden studies.

- Indoors: bright, indirect light
- Outdoors: Can be hardened off to Zone 7 (35F) and good through Zone 11 (above 40F)
- In colder climates, treat as an annual
- Outdoor Heat Zones: 12 - 7
- Outdoor: Part sun/Part shade
- Let it try out to damp between watering, do not let the soil dry out
- Growth rate is about 2" per year
- Fertilize after 2 years if planted in a container
- Comes in 4" pot
The ones in stock have been kept indoors, plants are about 11-12" tall now.
We've had success growing this in a container without drainage holes. You must be careful with the watering in this case, and let it dry out to damp in between watering, to avoid over-watering.
